Happy Friday my friends! I’m just going to start off by saying that I love bacon, steak and chicken! But… I also love plant protein. You don’t have to be a vegan to use plant protein as a good source of protein intake.
One of the main reasons I normally choose plant protein over whey protein is because it doesn’t make me feel bloated and most plant protein powders have better ingredients in them. Now, finding a plant protein powder that isn’t gritty and actually tastes good is sometimes hard to do.
My fav plant protein powder is from a small company in Philadelphia, PA that makes a delicious plant protein from 4 of the world’s most efficient plant protein sources and it’s Cold-Crafted which preserves all the good-for-you plant nutrients because they don’t use heat to process the protein.
LivWell Vegan Plant Protein comes in a yummy Raw Cacao flavor and a Wild Vanilla Bean flavor…both which don’t have any so-called “Natural Flavors” which could be anything! The bags the protein comes in is even recycled paper!
It’s such a wonderful company and the protein is the highest quality which is what our bodies deserve, especially after a tough workout. Even if you don’t train hard, we still need to be eating enough protein to keep our bodies and muscles strong and functioning properly.
I love using plant protein in my protein balls recipe, in my post-workout shake and I even tried these protein cookies but I need to work on the recipe a bit…they turned out a bit dry.
