#MotivationMonday – Skulpt Aim Device Review – Part 1

Skulpt Aim Product Review Part 1

Happy Healthy Monday!

If you follow me on Instagram you will see I did quite a tough workout this morning and I will probably be feeling it tomorrow. I love pushing myself to the max! I feel strong and fit and love seeing changes in my body. I recently hit a bit of a plateau so I decided to really amp up my workouts.

I love amping up my workouts so I can see how much I have improved my endurance. For example, last weekend I did a tough Bob Harper Ripped Core workout via YouTube which was pretty challenging. So I did it again this weekend and I noticed that I moved through a lot of the exercises easier this time.

One thing I’ve never been able to do was to measure my body fat % or even measure quality for each of my muscles.

UNTIL NOW

I recently received a product called “Skulpt Aim” to review. Skulpt Aim is a unique tool that you use to measure your body fat % and your muscle quality. Now, you might be wondering why you would want to measure your muscle quality? Measuring your muscle quality is great because it tells you what the scale will not. It tells you when your losing fat & gaining muscle. The Skulpt Aim is more accurate than BIA “smart scales”, professional calipers (which personally are a pain in the butt to use), and even more accurate than underwater weighing.

Skulpt Aim Device

The Skulpt Aim measures 24 different muscles in your body so you can see where your are strongest and which areas you need to improve. We all know that are dominant arm is stronger than our non-dominant arm but do you know how much? Even your abs can have a stronger side, like shown in my results below.

Here you can see that my abs are in great shape. They might not look like six-pack abs, but the muscle quality is great. This made me feel really good when I measured them, because it tells me that I have a strong core which is key to a healthy back, body, and improves your balance and stability and even helps prevent injury.  IMG_6225

The Skulpt Aim is similar to using an iPod but thicker and heavier. You also download the Skulpt app on your smart phone so you can sync your device to the app so you can keep track of all your numbers.

In this picture you can see that I need to work on my backside a little bit more. My upper back is good, but my calves really need some work. I would love to see my muscle quality numbers for my backside to be in the white color which means they are “skulpted”. So, I know by this that I need to work on it more.

This device is so amazing! I really enjoyed using it and can’t wait to continue using it to help improve my overall numbers. I would love to get all of my numbers in the “Fit” & “Sculpted” ranges.

The Skulpt Aim really motivates me even more to get lower body fat % numbers and better muscle quality. I love how easy it is to use. You just spray the back of the Skulpt Aim with water (they include a cute little spray bottle too), which is where the sensors are located.

Then you place the device on the muscle you are measuring and in a few seconds you have your results. Then you move onto the next muscle. They even have a video that you can watch that shows you exactly where to place the device to get an accurate reading on the muscle.

You can measure individual muscles one at a time or a set of four, like your biceps, triceps, abs and quads.

They even give you a nice bag to keep your device and water bottle in so you can take it with you when you travel.

This picture shows my total body numbers which I’m hoping will be different the next time I use this device. I plan on using it once a week to test my muscles and see how much of a change I see.

I can’t explain how much I am loving the Skulpt Aim or how much fun it is to see all my numbers. Stay-tuned for an updated review! If you would love to check out the product for yourself just click here: www.skulpt.me

Do you have a device or tool that motivates you to make changes and improvements in your body and your workouts?

  1. Hey. Great review. I’ve been using an AIM for ~6 months now with pleasing results. I actually compared my recent reading with a DEXA scan to test it’s accuracy.

You can see the results here http://aferg.co/skulptreview

I’m a PT/bodybuilder/gym addict, so I’ve put it to good use!

I really like it. Its great for tracking my own and my clients progress without booking for a dexa scan. Plus not everyone likes having their body pinched with calipers. I compared it to a dexa and its pretty accurate. The muscle quality feature is also pretty cool.

    1. Thanks Coach Alex Fergus! I will read your review! Thanks for sharing with me! I am working on becoming a certified personal trainer and I would like to use the Skulpt on clients, so it’s nice to see other people using it on their clients with good results.
