Flavorful Friday: PGX Satisfast Organic Vegan Protein Bars Review

Flavorful Friday!

This Friday I’m sampling PGX Satisfast Organic Vegan Protein Bars

Protein bars are everywhere it seems. There are so many options that it can be overwhelming at times trying to figure out which one is best for you. The main benefit of protein bars, whether store bought or homemade, is convenience. They are easy to fit in your purse, gym back or back pack and provide a convenient way to get some more protein into your daily diet. Protein bars can also help you lose weight, gain muscle, and keep you full between meals. You want to make sure you look for ones that are lower in calories and sugar. Some protein bars are so full of sugar, so make sure you check that.

I’ve tried a lot of protein bars and it’s hard to find ones that don’t taste gritty or artificial. I recently was sent three protein bars complimentary to sample from Natural Factors. Natural Factors develops condition-specific supplements to address some of the most common health concerns. The company is based in Canada where they have their main office and state-of-the-art production facilities, but serves U.S. customers from a sales and distribution center in Everett, Washington. They also own their own farms where they grow the herbs for their formulas, which are harvested by hand and processed within hours at their nearby plant. From protein powders to weight loss products, Vitamin D to Vitamin C and so many other products, Natural Factors provides high quality products.

PGX Satisfast Organic Vegan Protein Bars contain raw foods and are coated in delicious dark chocolate. They are sweetened whole-food sweeteners and low glycemic Stevia. PGX Satisfast Protein Bars are certified gluten-free, raw, non-GMO, and USDA organic.

The PGX Satisfast Protein Bars contain two easy-to-digest protein sources, pea and brown rice, and contain 15 grams of protein.

When these bars are taken with meals, PGX expands in the stomach over a 30-minute timeframe which creates a feeling of fullness. You can also take it after working out or in between meals.

PGX Satisfast Protein Bars contain PGX which is short for PolyGlycopleX, a “novel polysaccharide” or water soluble plant fiber, that has been proven in clinical trials to slow the digestion of carbohydrates and increase the feeling of fullness.

The Science Behind PGX

PGX is backed by over 10 years of research and development along with extensive pre-clinical studies and clinical trials conducted in the United States, France and Germany. Detailed clinical studies published in major medical journals and presented at the world’s major diabetes conferences have shown PGX to exert the following benefits:

• Reduces appetite and promotes effective weight loss
• Promotes healthy blood sugar and cholesterol levels already within the normal range
• Reduces the glycemic index of any food, beverage or meal
• Increases the level of compounds that block appetite and promote satiety
• Decreases the level of compounds that stimulate overeating

PGX is 100% natural, non-addictive and safe for consumption, with no serious side effects.

I received the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter which I tried right away because I love the combination of chocolate and peanut butter. The bar was a bit crumbly and fell apart but tastes delicious! It definitely helped keep me full until dinner time which was about an hour an half to two hours later.

I also received the Dark Chocolate Coconut. This one is my favorite!

Lastly I received the Very Berry Dark Chocolate. This one was definitely my least favorite.

Have you found any healthy and yummy protein bars that you love?
